Siobhan Harpur, Director State-Wide System Development, DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES TASMANIA will be presenting a case study: Best People, Best Practice - Designing the Space to Achieve the Best in Staff Training and Development Siobhan has a portfolio responsibility for the development of new innovative models of care including establishing Integrated Care Centres across Tasmania. In addition she is an Executive Director with the University of Tasmania as the DHHS lead for a strategic alliance called Partners in Health. Brendan Jones, Director, ANTARCTICA ARCHITECTS will be leading a session titled An Architect’s Perspective: Design Guidelines to Meet The Long Term Needs of Patients and Staff Brendan Jones co-authored Rebirth of a Clinic: a Design workbook for architecture in general practice and primary care, in conjunction with RACGP and RMIT University. Brendan will discuss some of the most vital areas of designing a healthcare facility:
